Week 3 — Day 3
In a previous blog I posted where one of my mentors, Mike Maloney, gives us a tour of the US Debt Clock. It’s in a video format, so he’s able to highlight certain areas and give us a description while the clock is running, showing us the nation’s debt in real time. This website is chock full of valuable information, and you can even download it as a FREE APP for your phone. Yet, most people never heard of it. I’ve never even heard it mentioned on any local or national news broadcast. The existence of this website or app is not mentioned in any school. Our educational system has no real courses on financial education – not even a lesson on compound interest.
Mike Maloney mentions the word “Trillion” many times during the US Debt Clock video. We hear the word “Trillion” on the news all the time when talking about the Budget, the big picture of Climate Change, or the grand total of War.

Newscasters mention the word Trillion with the same energy level as if they’re ordering a latte at Starbucks. Have we all become numb to the value of a Trillion, or was it that we were never taught the value of a Trillion?
You decide . . . but first,
let’s have a little fun!

Wow ! ! . . . You should see the look on your face. Most of you are sitting there with your jaw wide open. What I just showed you, was simple math. Anyone can check the accuracy of my numbers on a simple calculator.

Optional Homework Assignment

Now that you know how big a Trillion really is, I'm giving you an optional Homework Assignment. You don't have to do this. But, if you do, your mind will be totally blown!! And, you know what "they" say: Once your mind is blown, it can't be un-blown!!
Write this number down: $25,000,000,000 (That's $25 Trillion)
That's the amount of debt the United States was carrying on May 06, 2020. Check out the video replay and see for yourself.
Let's now go to the Live Feed of the US Debt Clock and see what the number is today in real time.
Write that number down and then subtract $25 Trillion.
Your answer is approximately $10 Trillion.
That's how much more the United States debt increased since the start of the Global Pandemic in 2020. The total amount of debt that the US is in is approximately $35 Trillion. (With interest accruing daily).
The video in this blog post reveals it takes 31,688 years to count to 1 Billion, one second at a time without stopping, eating, or sleeping.
Now take 31,688 and multiply it by 35.
How long it would take to count to 35 Trillion?
The Answer Is - 1.1 Million Years to count to 35 Trillion.
(Providing we stop adding more debt to the current deficit). But they won't.
That’s a BIG NUMBER !! We’re in BIG TROUBLE !! That’s why “they” don’t want you to know about this!!

You might have read it in my bio, or you heard it from me in one my webinars. I spent most of the 80’s as a teacher, the 90’s as an entrepreneur co-owning a software company, and from the 2000’s on, I’ve been an on-line marketer learning how to deal with ups and downs of the market and our economy. You know the old saying: “Once a teacher, always a teacher”. I solve problems through education. But how can I solve a problem for you, if you don’t realize you’re in the middle of a problem? Financial Education is the answer.

So, in future blogs, we’ll go back in time and I’m going to review mini lessons in history – and then I’ll tell you what really happened. What they didn’t teach you in school. I’ll be mixing in blogs that are history lessons, blogs dealing about the truth about our economy, blogs about trends, blogs about multiple streams of income, and blogs just for fun.
