Week 1                —                Day 5

Part 1 of 3 . . .

Mindset

If you’ve been following these blog posts and videos in the order I’ve arranged them for you, this blog post and video is Lesson #5. I hope you were taking notes, and will continue to take notes moving forward. Your notes may contain phrases and key words that are of interest to you, and would like to explore further. Your notes may contain questions you would like to have answered. And your notes may contain your thoughts on what the “common thread” might be in connecting the theory behind all of these videos so far.

Let’s review a common phrase of mine that I use in training videos:

Simply Change Your Mind

Changing your mind is a mental process. You now realize that all changes made so far are all mental changes. This process is simple, however I never said is was easy.

It’s all about breaking old habits. Mental habits. Replacing ‘old phrases’ with ‘new phases’. Here’s the very first ‘old phrase / new phrase’ I started to use in my teachings over 20 years ago. And it’s something I use every day in my life.

Example;

'Old' School Phrase :

  • "The problem is that . . . . . . . .
    [enter your situation here]"

'New' School Phrase :

  • "The reality is that . . . . . . . . . . . . .
    [enter your situation here]"

Here are a few more examples:

'Old' School Phrase:

  1. "I must always please everyone to feel valued."
  2. "I can't handle failure; it defines me."
  3. "I'm stuck in this situation forever."
  4. "I need to control everything to feel safe."
  5. "I'm not good enough; I need to be perfect."

'New' School Phrase:

  1. "My worth is inherent and independent of others' approval."
  2. "Failure is a stepping stone to growth and resilience."
  3. "Change is inevitable, and I have the power to adapt and evolve."
  4. "Letting go of control allows me to embrace uncertainty and find peace."
  5. "I am worthy of love and acceptance just as I am, imperfections and all."

Think about this:

How many lives could be changed if we just applied this little exercise in every aspect of your W.E.A.L.T.H. WHEEL with everyone that you know? (Review Lesson # 4).

Here’s a more important question: How many lives could be saved if we shared this exercise with the world?

This is one of the reasons why I left my teaching position in the classroom of a dozen or so students. And share these teachings to 1000’s of students.

If you come up with your own ‘Old’ School / ‘New’ School Phrase, post it in the comments section below.

Steve
