Week 2 — Day 3
It’s a shame. But Financial Education and Financial Literacy is NOT taught in school. NOT today, NOT in the past, and I can almost predict, NOT in the future. My background is Music and Music Education. For most of my young adult life I was a teacher. I know how “the system” works. With that in mind, I feel I am qualified to say: “In my opinion, I feel the system is broken”.
- Q) What is Financial Education? (Definition developed by the National Financial Educators Council).
- A) The process of learning the skills and knowledge on financial matters to confidently take effective action that best fulfills an individual’s personal, family and global community goals.
- Q) What is Financial Literacy?
- A) The possession of the set of skills and knowledge that allows an individual to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources.
We all certainly heard of The Great Depression. To most of us it’s just a blip on history’s timeline. I have a MUST WATCH VIDEO that tells the whole story. The story that almost nobody knows about. The story that’s NOT in the history books. And this video could reveal the very reason why monetary history is NOT taught in schools.

We Have A Serious Problem
Some of you are looking at your phone right now in total shock. Some of you are looking at your smart device right now in dis-belief. And some of you are just staring at the screen with your jaw wide open. You have to realize that are current state of the economy didn’t get here by accident. When our monetary system was under a true gold standard, we couldn’t “borrow” or spend more money than the value of the gold. When the balance sheet was way out of balance, the government simply “cooked the books” by making gold more valuable.
Through a series of twists and turns, interest rate increases and cuts, and now, unlimited deficit spending with NO end in sight, we are where we are today – with a World Economy in a downward spiral freefalling without a parachute.

Is There A Solution?
I don’t think you and I can save the World Economy right now. We probably can’t save the US Economy either. But we can save ourselves. Through EDUCATION. The education that wasn’t taught to you in school. I solve problems through education. I’m going to reprint a paragraph I posted in my prior Blog Post that I want you to internalize.

I know what side of the upcoming Wealth Transfer I want to be on.
